Poi Dog Beyond the Cart


When we don't vend in the winter months, we travel, looking for new experiences cooking and eating (and ancient ones, as with our ancient Roman cooking project). "Poi Dog" in pidgin has come to mean "mixed breed" or "mutt" and speaks to our cultural identities, the open-mindedness with which we look at food and the hybrid Hawaiian street food we serve on the cart in Philly. We're really interested in the source cultures of local food in Hawaii (so we always go to the Philippines) but we also go further afield.
